Fragmentation is part of our contemporary post modern culture and pervades our everyday experiences from the cacophony of sounds to the visual sensations we experience. Walking through the city is sometimes like being in a large installation with all your senses charged. These considerations have influenced me and my work has developed in new directions for example working in an installation context. Working in these new contexts has allowed me to further explore the relationship between the viewer's awareness and their engagement with the space and the object. These artworks invite the viewer to engage in a dialogue with art history and contemporary art practice.
